The tribute.

first draft 3am ( driven as hell)
From New YorkÕs nest to navy seas, a mushrooms isle you watched.
Gas stations becoming a statement. Then onto jungles cotton and cattle.
Frontiers of the heart with a voyagerÕs spirit, that frontier tamed but the soil could not bear it.
Returning home, family awaits. ThereÕs always something there when your intention creates.
A wisdom born of lifeÕs trials, tempered with humor.
Jolly and jovial I watched you call her your girl. Sat wild eyed and bedazzled with the fox and the goose, hearing tails of trials and a life lent to wonder.
Hearing the words you just stick to it and never give up I gazed upon a plate that said twenty-five.
Remembered a time where sharing was the word of the day, fun was the goal as the emerald waters lapped at the shore, Caesar stands tall and beckons us more.
I saw you as a child sneaking down Christmas day, standing tall with heart wonder, invention, and adventure. A thing of beauty a thing to admire. From engineer to engineer we saw one another, and smiled.
I saw your heart I saw your dreams wept with you over the cold dark stout.
Through this door I cannot see, you walk on. This beautiful soul wonderful phoenix now and always this perfection that you are.
